Between Particles & Waves is an ongoing Minecraft art exhibition collaboration between artists Brad Downey and Jan Vormann with Total Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul. Initiated by Vormann and Downey in 2021, Total Museum's participation as a collaborating institution in Season 1 served as the catalyst leading to their continued involvement in Season 2 (2022) and Season 3 (2023). BPAW aims to address the limitations experienced in previous seasons and presents public art pieces that reinterpret existing works within the familiar Minecraft space, which is a game platform predominantly popular among children.

Featuring artworks by a variety of artists, the server is open to the public for exploration and creation. Twice a month, Total Museum of Art hosts short events to celebrate the Korean Solar Calendar (Jeolgi / 절기) and activate the environments. Join us for some play and discussion on Minecraft and Zoom (in English & Korean).
